I decided that due to the rainy weather and wanting to change out my air filter, I’d stay one more day in Medford.
I had contemplated packing up the new DNA filter and changing it on the road somewhere, but I’m glad I chose to do it in Q’s garage instead, as I found out that my Mosko Moto tool kit has two T25 wrenches instead of a T25 and a T20, and I needed a T20. Fortunately Q had a T20 socket in one of his tool boxes.
I recently passed 10,000 on my bike’s odometer. Just saying.
I also checked tread depth on both tires and the rear is at 7mm and the front at 5mm. Should be enough to get me back to South Dakota, I hope. The tires are Dunlop’s Trailmax Missions, and I’ve been very happy with their performance and dependability.
Quentin bought me lunch today at a little authentic Mexican restaurant near his church. I had what may be the best burrito I’ve ever eaten, and a glass of horchata, which I’ve never had before, but it was really good.
Early tomorrow morning, day 14, I should be back on the road and headed for the Redwoods in Northern California. Here’s hoping the rain will stop soon!
