Beartooth Highway both directions – south to north, stop in Red Lodge, Montana for fuel, coffee, and something to eat, then north to south. After that, the northern route through Yellowstone, which I think was new to me.
The American West is so huge, and the scale so massive, that photos really don’t do justice to this trip. I should probably just focus on riding. 🙂
Just outside of Yellowstone I stopped for a drink of water by the side of the road and happened to notice that my rear wheel was out of alignment (see photos below), which is probably why I was getting some not-so-funny wheel wobble at certain speeds. I fixed it this evening after setting up camp and eating my supper of meager rations. I’d really like to know what caused the rear wheel to move, and I’m going to need to keep an eye on that.
Well, day 2 is in the books. Time to call it a night.
