Since graduating from high school several decades ago, I’ve served as a Combat Engineer in the US Army, worked on both commercial and residential construction crews, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies, served as a wilderness trip guide for Christian camps in Michigan and Montana, married my wife Amy and started a family, did a year-long internship in Christian camping at a camp in Wisconsin, started and operated a small construction company for eleven years, took a short sabbatical from business and started working on a Master’s degree, and for the past few years have been running Black Hills Web Works, a small company I started in early 2009 that builds, maintains, and hosts WordPress websites.
My interests include technology, WordPress, kettlebells, long mountain bike rides, hiking with my family in the Black Hills, studying Biblical languages, teaching, writing, reading, blogging, the challenge of running a business, and helping out with a new church plant, my wife’s website and blog, and other causes.
