Fat Loss Challenge – Day 23

Jan 24, 2020 ·

Sciatica survival mode. Started using an electric heating pad today on my lower back, which seems to somehow reduce the pain levels significantly. With a long enough extension cord I could go anywhere!

Sleep

7h 14m

Morning weigh-in

181.8 (sciatica seems to have slowed bowels down to a crawl)

Day 1 morning weigh-in: 182
Yesterday’s weigh-in: 177.6

Exercise

Since Monday afternoon I’m spending most of my days and all of my nights sitting in an Adirondack chair, as that’s the only position where there is little to no sciatic pain. However, I’m going stir crazy not being able to move like I normally do. Fortunately I have a variety of kettlebells close at hand, and have been doing seated presses, seated bottoms-up presses, seated bottoms-up waiter’s walk (sit), and whatever else I can think up to do with a kettlebell while sitting in a chair. 🙂
